2 Columbus companies up for high-tech cash – Business First of Columbus:

Ohio companies working on fuel cells, stem cells, medical device technology and in the pharmacology sector have been targeted to receive approximately $39 million from a state research and development program.

The Ohio Department of Development announced Tuesday it is recommending nine Ohio technology companies receive money for research and development from the state’s Third Frontier program.

The lion’s share of the recommended award amounts are directed to medical research and development projects in northeast Ohio, but two Columbus technology firms are also in the mix.

Columbus-based Zyvex Performance Materials Inc. was awarded $4.9 million to lead a consortium that is developing carbon nanotubes that will be used in composite materials.

Hyper Tech Research Inc., also in Columbus, was awarded $5 million to construct a high-temperature superconductor wire for the medical field………

CANAL WINCHESTER, Ohio, April 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — iB3 Networks, Inc. Summary:

e-Cycle Incorporated, based in Dublin, Ohio, is an entrepreneurial company who is the industry leader in Cell Phone Recycling. We currently have an immediate career opportunity for a Cell Phone Technician.

The primary responsibility of this position is to test cell phones and smartphones from multiple manufacturers while ensuring that corporate quality standards are achieved. Working technical knowledge of cell phones and smart phones is a necessity.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and test used cell phones and smartphones (i.e. Blackberry’s, Treo’s).
  • Functional and cosmetic evaluation of cell phones and smartphones.
  • Receive, Sort, Recycle, Test and Ship used cell phones and smartphones.
  • Maintain high-quality performance and testing levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
